Curious and excited about the bizarre and mysterious name”Forest Ghosts we head for this place. In answer to that question, 54 year old Nguyen Thanh Liem, the owner of the inn, said: After his”phuot trips Da Lat Dung K’No i Dak Lak, through several jungles, making raft to cross the river several times, his friend gave him the nickname forest Ghost”. His love of the mountains brought him to the jungle and build a house near the stream, to find a peaceful place in the mountains.
He started the construction of a wooden house painted in purple for a retreat in the weekend, and a meeting place with intimate friends, then, thanks to the reputation widely spreading, many travelers have come to this place to satisfy their curiosity. Whoever has once come to this place always wish to stay overnight in this inn in the untouched lush alpine forest. over time, the small purple house has become part of the Forest Ghosts inn.
Reportedly, this entire new area of the Forest Ghosts Inn was formed over a year ago. Mr. Liem said, he himself thinks of building this inn, making proper calculation, design and implementation. The landscape is still primitive, surrounded by the cool air of the true nature of Da Lat.
The inn can accommodate maximum 50 people; however, the Forest Ghosts Inn has never housed maximum number of guests. Almost very often the owner refuses to welcome numerous guests. He said that too many guests will break their privacy, that is why”Forest Ghosts Inn” never receives more than two groups and refuses to link with tour operators.

Forest Ghosts Inn is located deep in the forest, within Da Nghit village, Lat Commune, Lac Duong district sitting quite far from Da Lat city center. From the city, you will go over 22 km, it takes about 30 minutes by motorbike to this place. The route to Forest Ghosts Inn is encompassed by unspoiled fascinating scenery
Here everything is made from pine wood taken from cut-off trees when the authorities made way for pulling power lines into this place. The furniture is made from half a large tree trunk, a large wooden plan with a little chisel work.
Three small houses are made of pine wood, unpainted, smelling the fragrance of pine and 1 purple house, all are beautifully decorated and full of coziness, with a little kitchen for cooking to guests’ taste. The houses here represent the impromptu style. Looking at them you can see the warmth of the style of Highland stilt houses, but also mixed with the subtle details of French architecture. Behind the inn is the stream, with water murmuring day and night. The front has two blue lakes separated by a stone bridge. Water is brought here from the rocks, the water flows into the lake from the bottom lake and finally pours into the small stream. The blue water reflects the clouds in the sky.
Mr. Liem said, living here are mostly families or groups of friends. A house here can accommodate 6 people, with comfortable amenities for a typical house. Particularly walk in guests will stay in the upstairs bungalow built on stilts at VND 100,000/person night.
The morning here witnesses the mist, evening drops sunset over the willow branches, the apricot tree or behind the jacaranda trees planted on the lake side. When night falls over the forest, the inn shimmers warm golden light. The owner and the guests sit together, around the fiery red stove, barbecuing, sipping liquor. The owner offers guests the guitar, with melodious music sound, to play and sing.
Lurking in the pine forest, the name of Forest Ghosts Inn in Dalat has left in tourists’ hearts full of surprise and interest so anyone who has once come will not forget and the new one will be curious about the name and eager to explore.
