According to the plan approved by Lam Dong People’s Committee, the Da Lat Biotechnology and high tech applied agriculture Zone is built at Da Sar commune, district Lac Duong (about 20km from the heart of Da Lat), total and area 221 ha and over estimated total investment capital VND more than 2,000billion. The Da Lat Biotechnology and high tech applied agriculture zone is divided into 4 sub major divisions: Investment attracting subdivision, research and application subdivision; information support, counseling, training subdivision; operation center subdivision. 林董, particularly Da Lat, is assessed as one of the current leading localities in high tech agriculture productcs. Not only has it implemented the high tech agriculture development program (以来 2004) but it is also evaluated as the “model” province of this program from different angles, especially from the viewpoint of economic efficiency. Through 8 years of program implementation, Lam Dong has invested VND 3,600 billion to the program or 38% beyond the plan. The program has created highly competitive agricultural products such as Di Linh coffee, B Lao tea, Da Lat vegetables, Cat Tien rice, Don Duong mushrooms, La Ba bananas etc… and many prospective products like cold-water fish, Da Lat ginseng, Dam Rong bitter tea, Thuong Kim medicinal tea, diep ha chau Cat Tien… 博士. Pham S Deputy Chairman, Lam Dong People’s Committee- is quoted as saying: Currently in the whole province approximately 1/10 agricultural land area is used in the direction of high tech agriculture production (equal to 34,000haB40,000ha). Average income per hectare of agricultural land area of Lam Dong by end of 2012 reached VND 89 million doubling the average national level (Lam Dong strives to reach VND100 million/ha by 2015. A Land area of Lam Dong’s high tech agriculture production has reached an average level of VND 250 million/hectare/year of which some models have achieved a fairly high rate for instance, the flowers & vegetables model with more than VND 300 million/ha/year; bell peppers (capsicums) almost VND 300 million/ha year. 尤其, some models have reached VND 1-2 billion/ha/year. Together with the Da Lat Bio Technology High Tech Applied Agriculture Zone, Lam Dong is currently developing strategic projects in the technological fields (including many scientific projects for agricultural development) such as the Centralized Information Technology area Western Highland Nature Museum: Viet Nam Russia Nuclear Science & Technology Center The Da Lat Bio Technology-High Tech Applied Agriculture Zone in future will become one of the centers that generate technological ability for not only Lam Dong but for the countryas well this is the latest statement from the Provincial Department of Science & Technology in an endeavor to convince competent bodies to approve this project!
特别, according to tourism administrators, at present, the Da Lat Bio-Technology – High Tech Applied Agriculture Zone has yet “sprouted” tourism products, but in a not-too- far future it will likely be one of the “good land” for Da Lat tourism; for not only is it convenient for transportation (located on Road 723 from Da Lat to Nha Trang) but also close to Dalat, a tourist hub (关于 20 从大叻市公里), once the Da Lat Bio Technology-High tech Applied Agriculture Center has come into being, it will be an interesting destination for tourists on their journey to explore Da Lat, a tourist city.
