Referring to Son La, people often think of Moc Chau with green tea hills. Along with Moc Chau, Van Ho is well known for beautiful villages filled in the color of flowers.

1. Chieng Yen Ecotourism Area
Chieng Yen is a commune of Van Ho district; about 60 km from Moc Chau town, where having five ethnic groups such as Thai, Mong, Kinh, Dao and Muong are living and converging. Chieng Yen Tourist Area is famous for its community tourism village Phu Mau and hot springs. These tourist attractions are very attractive to travelers.

2. Chieng Yen Hot Spring
This place is located in Phu Mau I village, Chieng Yen commune, Van Ho district, at the foot of Bo Ui mountain is Chieng Yen hot spring – an interesting tourist destination. The temperature of hot springs here averages about 40-50 degrees Celsius in the cold season. After the fatigue journeys, visitors can swim in the open warm spring, relax and admire the majestic nature of the Northwest forest.

3. Long Luong Village
This place has nickname “The holy land of drugs” is the flower paradise of Son La. Long Luong is located along National Highway 6 from Hoa Binh to Moc Chau (Son La). In front of the eyes of travelers are the peaceful cottages hidden under the shady plum gardens and green peach gardens.

If you are a “fanatic backpacker” love traveling by motorbike with long-distance, and you want to avoid the stifling of the city, Long Luong is an ideal place for you to experience a poor but peaceful life of indigenous people. Just over 100 km from Hanoi, Long Luong is a great weekend getaway for you to come back to a peaceful life close to nature.

4. Da River Lake
Da River flows through Son La province and crosses National Highway 43, forming a large lake with two sides were connected by Van Yen ferry between Van Ho and Phu Yen districts. The Da River hydropower lake with small islands undulating on the immense waters, it is like “the Ha Long Bay on mountain area”.

5. Pha Luong Mountain Peak
This is a popular place for motorbike tourists. Pha Luong peak is about 40 km from Moc Chau. This photo-shooting place is located in Tan Xuan Commune, Chieng Xuan District, formerly being administrative territory of Moc Chau District. Since Van Ho commune was separated from Moc Chau in 2013, so far Pha Luong is officially located in Van Ho district.
